What about future of data and privacy

This is not a real post but I’d like to let you watch this short interview where Doc Searls talked in 2011 about the real promise of the web or, in other words, what we need to be really considered as humans when we use the net to interact for personal or “transactional” reasons. Independence is the magic word that subtends data ownership in a demand-side based model.

I’m really getting interested about how this shift can be realized giving people the right tools to conquer a new sort of equilibrium with other social actors in different contexts. Maybe the big data problem must be seen not from a vendor perspective but from an individual one.

What do you think about this? Have you heard about VRM and its applications in the real word?

Let me know.
